ALPINIST is a dark hardcore four-piece from Münster, Germany. "lichtlaerm/minus.mensch" is crushing yet beautiful - heavy and atmospheric crust- and post-hardcore, bringing to mind the likes of FROM ASHES RISE, FALL OF EFRAFA, early ENFY etc.. They’re definitely an apocalyptic journey of sound.

Alerta Antifascista is proud to present the LP version of "The Prophet Feeds", the debut album from Midwest bashers Masakari. This band is amazing and this first full-legnth of theirs is relentless, unhinged, chaotic crust! Somewhat in the vein of His Hero is Gone, Tragedy and From Ashes Rise, but with a very distinct and brutal edge, Masakari fuses their apocalyptic crust with the raging power of Discharge/Disfear D-beat and the hard-edged Japanese punk stylings of G.I.S.M., with a smattering of blast-beat driven grindcore to drive it all home.
After the huge underground buzz of their debut 7", the band was ready to take their cataclysmic protest punk to a whole different level and "The Prophet Feeds" is that next step. It is an epic record that takes your breath away with its very scope; not an easy undertaking for an album that is only 10 songs and less than 30 minutes long! Engineered by Bill Korecky (Incantation, Keelhaul, Integrity) and recorded at Mars Studio in Cleveland.
Their first release, Eden Compromised 7”, released by Halo of Flies records produced four tracks where “the hard-hitting outbursts are succeeded by, and combined with, epic and gloomy riffs - complete with frantic drumming and roaring vocals. A powerful 7" indeed with a solid sound that has some all-over-the-place explosions, but never outside of the band's control.” (Attack Fanzine).
Pressing Details:
first press (15.07.2010): 300x translucent marbled red, 1200x black Vinyl, gatefoldcover, The Masakari logo and the Japanese kanji are in white, Initially the title of this album was "The Prophet Feeds", so "The Profit Feeds" is a misprint and is only on the covers of the first press from 2010.
second press (20.03.2011): 100x yellow and 400x black vinyl, Limited Edition in Yellow Vinyl! This press has no gatefold sleeve and the Masakari logo and the japanese signs are in orange!
third press (15.06.2012): 200x green and 300x black vinyl, comes again in a beautifull Gatefold Sleeve! This time the Masakari logo and the japanese signs are in green!
